A Funeral Service for Melissa English Shattuck, 50 of Columbia, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at Temples Halloran Funeral Home Chapel, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212. Pastor John Hamilton will officiate. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at the funeral home. The burial will be held on Thursday, October 14, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. in Ft. Jackson National Cemetery. Melissa was born on May 21, 1971, in Columbia, SC to the late Paris Hackney English and Faye Buchanan English.She peacefully passed in her home on Thursday, October 5, 2021.Melissa was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.She had a love for Art.She had a passion for helping others and never met a stranger.Melissa’s smile and laughter could light up a room. Surviving is her loving husband, Roger Andrew Shattuck; daughters, Paris Alana Williams (John) and Sarina Lynette Elledge; brother, Frank McLeod; two grandchildren, Ella Leahphart and Cameron Williams; step-father, Bill Cooper, and step-brother, Hank Cooper.Those who preceded her in death are her parents, and a sister, Rebecca McLeod.
