Marvin Bryant Gregory

Marvin Bryant Gregory, 85, of St. Simons Island, GA, departed this life Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at his residence. Born March 19, 1932 in Aiken, South Carolina to the late Luene W. Gregory (Bethune).Marvin was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and retired wholesale clothing representative.He had been a resident of St. Simons Island for the past three years, but had previously resided in Columbia, SC for 65 years. Marvin enjoyed spending time with his family, playing softball to the age of 78, golf and following the University of South Carolina Gamecocks. Marvin is preceded in death by his brother, Ray Gregory of Florence, SC.Survivors include his wife, Rebecca M. Gregory of St. Simons Island, GA; his son, Bryant Gregory (Stephanie) of Tega Cay, SC; three grandchildren, Megan, Mary, and Madison Gregory and a step-daughter, Michele Carson–Vaughn (Bill) and step-grandchildren, Savannah and Corey Vaughn andChais Kincaid of Johns Creek, GA. The family will receive friends Sunday, August 13, 2017 from 1 p.m. until 3 pm at Temples Halloran Funeral & Cremation Services, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212.
