LEXINGTON—Margie Yarborough Temple, 79, of Lexington passed away Friday, March 10, 2017. Born in Columbia, SC, in the Olympia Community, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd Oliver and Pauline Sharpe Yarborough.Margie attended the Brookland-Cayce Schools.She was a charter member of Saluda River Baptist Church where she served in many different capacities. A Southern lady with many talents, Margie’s greatest talent was being a gracious hostess. Anyone visiting Margie and J.P. at their home would be expected to stay for a meal or, at least, a slice of her pound cake. Surviving is her loving family: her husband of 63 years, Jacob Patterson (J.P.) Temple; children, Dale Temple (Diane), Mark Temple, Kaye Lorick (Bobby), Anita Costley and Jeff Temples (Emily); grandchildren, Danielle Costley, Brittany Lorick and Samantha C. Rogers (Michael). She was predeceased by her parents and two sisters, Louise Corley and Nadine Matthews. Funeral services for Margie Yarborough Temple will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at Temples Halloran Funeral Home Chapel, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212. The Reverend John Lopez and The Reverend Charles Westbrook will be officiating. Burial will follow in Southland Memorial Gardens, 700 W. Dunbar Road, West Columbia, SC 29170. Mrs. Margie’s nephews will be serving as active pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
