Margaret Browder Moody, 91, of Forest Acres, went home to be with her Lord on May 30, 2021.She was married to the late Thomas “Tom” F. Moody for 56 years.They were charter members of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Born in Jonesville, SC, Margaret was the daughter of Leon Ervin Browder and Bettie Frierson Browder and spent much of her childhood in Manning, SC.She spent most of her professional life as a Bridal Consultant and buyer for JB White-Richland Mall and retired in 1990 after 23 years of service.Among her many loves was vacationing on the SC coast to Folly Beach, Surfside Beach, and for the past 30 years, her beloved Garden City Beach.Her happiest moments in life were spent with her family, attending ballgames, recitals, and school performances when her children or grandchildren were involved.She and Tom took many fun-filled trips around the country, mostly with their daughters Linda, Gloria, and son-in-law Bob.And she especially loved taking her grandchildren shopping!!Margaret’s affection for music was deep-rooted since childhood, as she loved a variety of genres but especially the old-time gospel standards, even up to her final days. She is survived by her son Tommy Moody, daughter Linda Moody, son-in-law Bob Long, grandchildren Bobby Long, DVM (Sarah), Kasey Moody, and Jamie Moody (Gabriel), as well as great-grandchildren Claire and Colleen Long, and Weston Hargett.Margaret is also survived by her brother, Leon Browder. She was also predeceased by, along with her husband, her daughter Gloria Long, sister Mary Burgess, and brother Ernest L. Browder. Services will be private at Greenlawn Memorial Park on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 officiated by Pastor Larry S.
