Marcia Sue Knitz

Marcia Sue Knitz, 68, of Irmo, passed away on Monday, January 10, 2022. She was born in Ft. Wayne, IN on November 27, 1953, to Margaret Jane Reierson and the late John Ronald Hoffman. Marcia loved animals, gardening, swimming, and people; she was known as “Mama Marcia” at the Karate Studio. Surviving includes her loving husband of 51 years, Doug Knitz; mother, Margaret Jane Reierson; daughter, Nichole Knitz; son, Neil Knitz (Becky Alaimo); grandson, Anthony Knitz.Marcia was preceded in death by her father and step-father, Arthur Reierson. A special thanks to best friends, Mary Warden, Robyn Watson, and Suzanne Kampney.The family would like to thank Kim Campbell and Takeesha Goodwin at Agape Hospice and Samika Snipes with SC House Calls for their loving care of Marcia. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
