Mrs. Lenison “Lynn” Barrineau Jeffers, 93, of Florence died on Sunday, December 31, 2017.Born on July 10, 1924, in the Barrineau community of South Carolina, Lynn was daughter of the late William Doris Barrineau and Susan Emma Robinson Barrineau. Lynn graduated from Emmanuel College in Franklin Springs, Georgia with a degree in Education.She proudly served students, teachers, and families in Richland School District Two for more than 35 years.Mrs. Jeffers attended Central Assembly of God, Christian Life Assembly in Columbia, and was a longstanding member of the Barrineau Pentecostal Holiness Church located in Lake City, South Carolina. Lynn was preceded in death by her husband, the late Dothan E. “Bug” Jeffers, Jr., a sister, Dorothy E. Barrineau, her brothers, Charles Leo Barrineau, Joseph C. Barrineau, Ira Bethea Barrineau, and William J. Barrineau, brothers in law Paul Jeffers and Fred Huiett. Surviving family members include sisters, Frances “Frankie” Humphries (James Russell) of Lake City, South Carolina and Elizabeth “Libby” Benton (Bill) of Matthews, North Carolina, brother,David “Sonny” Barrineau of Newberry, South Carolina, brother in law, Dwight Jeffers (Gloria) of Gaston, sisters in law, Carolyn J. Huiett of Sandy Run and Mary T. Jeffers of Columbia as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 in the chapel of Temples Halloran Funeral Home, 5400 Bush River Road Columbia, South Carolina 29212. Burial will follow the service in the Highway Pentecostal Holiness Cemetery, 2290 Heath Pond Road, Elgin, South Carolina 29045.A visitation hour will be held from 1:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
