Louise Smith Tinsley

The funeral service for Mrs. Louise Smith Tinsley, 94, of Columbia will be held at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 in the Chapel of Temples Halloran Funeral Home, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, South Carolina 29212.The Reverend Scott Smoak will officiate.Family will receive friends for a visitation from 11:00-12:00 on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at Temples Halloran Funeral Home. Born in Greer, South Carolina, Louise was the daughter of the late Ernest Eugene Smith and Bessie Irene Wood Smith.Survivors include a son, Gary T. Tinsley of the home; daughter-in-law, Donna Glenn Holley of Columbia; grandchildren, Sam Tinsley (Kelly), Claire Lewellyn Ziegler (Chris), and Mary Louise DeCrescenzio (Vincent); great-grandchildren, Melissa and Christopher Tinsley, Mila Elizabeth DeCrescenzio and Adeline Tinsley Ziegler.Those who preceded Louise in death includes her husband, Fred R. Tinsley and sons, Allan and Edward. Louise was a longtime member of Virginia Wingard United Methodist Church.She worked for the Department of Health and Environmental Control before retiring after many years of dedicated service.
