Louie Everett Crouch

The graveside service for Louie Everett Crouch, Jr. 96, of Columbia, will be held on Monday, February 7, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. in Bush River Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2:00-02:45 p.m. at Temples Halloran Funeral Home. The Reverend Irene Albritton will officiate. Louie was born in Punxsutawney, PA, on November 22, 1925, to the late Louie Everett Crouch, Sr., and Ruby Caroline Henderson Crouch. He was a Dreher High School graduate then served his country in the US Navy. Following his service to his country, he entered the University of South Carolina and graduated with a degree in Business Administration. Louie formerly worked at the Savanah River Plant, then the Noland Company, and later with Shealy Electric until his retirement. He was a member of the First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ Church on Beltline Blvd. in Columbia. Mr. Crouch was an avid Gamecocks Fan. Survivors are daughters, Vicki Crouch Bates of Columbia, and Amy Crouch Smith (Richard) Buford, GA; son, Bruce Jordan Crouch of Columbia; grandchildren, Taylor Bates Ritter (Kyle), Joshua Bates (Jenny), and Alexis M. Smith. Those who preceded him in death besides his parents, wife, Mary “Tootsie” Crouch; son, Brian Thomas Crouch; and grandson, Nicholas Alexander Smith. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ Church, 2052 N. Beltline Blvd., Columbia, SC 29204.
