COLUMBIA—Lisa Marie Shirley Griggs, 42, of Columbia, SC died Sunday, December 28, 2014. Born August 16, 1972 in Louisville, KY. Survivors include: husband, Kevin Griggs; stepdaughters, Hannah and Courtney; parents, Gary and Sharon Shirley; grandmother, Mary Shirley; brother, Steven Shirley (Melody); sister, Lori Frost (Jamie); nieces, Bailey, Carley, and Charlee Bug and nephew, Jeremy; parents-in-Law, Sterley and Stephena Griggs. Proceeded in death by her grandparents, Albert and Mary Carter, great grandparents Mr. and Mrs. George Carter, Mr. and Mrs. George Dole, brother-in-law Curtis Newman, and cousin Chad Leake. Lisa was many things to many people. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, aunt, niece, cousin and friend. She was part of a loud and large crazy family that includes many aunts, uncles, cousins, and fabulous friends who will miss her every day. She knew how to make everyone feel special and always took the time to care for others. She loved to dance, especially shag and loved to sing and have fun! She was always there to offer love and laughter to everyone around her. She loved Christmas, decorating for the season and making Christmas special for everyone. She went all out. Lisa took care of each and every person she knew at some point in her lifetime. That is what she loved to do and was wonderful at it. She kept everyone in line and made sure that things ran smoothly. She knew how to make it all happen at once. She would do anything for anyone and never asked for anything in return. We will all remember her laugh, her fun, her goodness, her love, her sternness when things needed to happen, her diet cokes, her beautiful hair, her sweet heart and kind nature. She is in our hearts and will always be missed so much every single day. Visitation will be Friday, January 2, 2015 from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Temple Halloran Funeral Home, 5400 Bush River Rd., Columbia, SC 29212.
