Lindsey Marie Burnette, 36, of Irmo, SC, passed away Monday, September 30, 2019, at 12:34 a.m. She was born on September 6, 1983, in Xenia OH. She leaves behind her parents, Roy and Donna Burnette of Chapin, SC, as well as a sister, Kellie Burnette of Fountain Inn, SC. Lindsey was engaged to her fiancé, Jerry Clagg of Irmo, SC. Lindsey was the mother of 3; Wyatt Lee (6), Jaxon Cooper (3) and a daughter, Savannah Grayson (1). She leaves behind her paternal grandfather, Don Burnette of Fairborn, OH, and several uncles, aunts, and cousins, her faithful dog, Roscoe and a new Kitten named “CAT”. She was predeceased in death by her maternal grandparents,Albert and Loretta Sidenstick and her paternal grandmother, Carol Burnette. Lindsey graduated from Hillcrest High School, Simpsonville, SC. She attended Lander University where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Psychology. She continued her education and received her Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Capella University. She went on to be certified in Play Therapy and was working on her Doctorate Degree but took a break to focus on her family. Lindsey was a member of The First Church of the Nazarene in Greenville SC. She was very active in the children’s church ministry and a very big part of the youth group. She went on several mission trips with the youth group. If there was a need somewhere Lindsey was always trying to help in any way she could. She was a mentor to many and always tried to be an encourager to her friends. Lindsey’s passion in life was for children, especially hers, adolescents and animals. She worked with adolescents at Three Rivers Behavioral Health in West Columbia, SC. Lindsey was also employed with William S. Hall working with adolescents as well. We can see her now sitting on the Adolescent Cloud in heaven counseling someone. She was loved by so many and will be greatly missed by all. We rest in knowing that one day we will see her again when we are reunited in heaven. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 9, 2019, at the Chapel of Temples Halloran Funeral Home, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212.The Reverend James Amos will officiate.The family will greet friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
