Leroy R. Harrington

Mr. LeRoy Harrington, 88, passed away on June 13, 2021.He was born on October 29, 1932, in Bennington, Vermont, the son of the late Robert Harrington and Clara Plante Harrington. In addition, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Gertrude (Trudy) Hon Harrington, and his second wife, Christina Ann Shepard Harrington. Mr. Harrington served as a Corporal in the Army during the Korean War. Roy was proud of his work for the Army at the Aleutian Islands where he helped with the construction of the Early Warning System. Surviving are his son, Ricky Harrington, and daughter-in-law Kathy Harrington; stepdaughter, Joanne McLaughlin (James), steps sons Arthur Shepard, James Shepard (Suzanne), Gary Shepard (Noel), Larry Shepard; grandchildren, Matthew Harrington, Courtney Narveson, Sarah Boyd, Michael Shepard. A Mass of Christian Burial to honor and celebrate his life will be held at 9:30 a.m., Friday, June 25, 2021, at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 195 Amicks Ferry Road, Chapin SC, Father Dennis B. Willey will officiate. The family will greet friends from 9:00 a.m.- 9:30 a.m. before the service at the church.
