Lenora E. Thomas, 86, of Columbia passed away on January 29, 2025.
Celebration of Life Services will be held 2:00 pm at Temples-Halloran Funeral Home on Friday February 7, 2025, with inurnment to follow at Bush River Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends and family one hour prior to the service in the chapel.
Lenora "Tudie" was born, the youngest of eight, on December 30, 1938, in Blythewood to William Henry Abell, Sr. And Leila Raines Abell. She was a graduate of Blythewood High School where she played on the Basketball team. Lenora retired from Bell South after 40 years of service, she held various positions including switchboard and frame dame. She also enjoyed her time as a seasonal worker for the United States Postal Service. Lenora was an avid gardener and supporter of the Republican Political Party volunteering in different capacities on local, county, state and federal level. She was always up to something and will be remembered for her funny and kind Christian spirit.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her siblings, Syphrona "Sophie" O. Ward, Albert E. Abell, Isla A. Mease, Mildred E. True and her furry best friend, Harry the Chihuahua. Survivors include her siblings, William H. Abell (Bert), Willie Mae Johnson, Melvin E. Abell (Karen) and numerous nieces and nephews.
