Lavern Bacot

CHAPIN—A graveside service for Irvin Laverne Bacot, 90 of Chapin will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 20, 2016 at Chatham Hill Memorial Gardens, S. Highway 1, North Cheraw, SC 29520. Reverend Lane Godbold Rogerson. Temples Halloran Funeral Home, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212, is assisting the family. Mr. Bacot passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2016.Born in Rockingham, NC he was the son of the late Eugene Greyard Bacot and Lina Quick Bacot. He proudly servedin the United States Army. Surviving are his sister, Peggy Calcutt (Joe) of Florence, SC; brother, Bobby Bacot (Barbara) Laurinburg, NC; along with many niece and nephew. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Ann Bacot, Mildred Hammond and four brothers, Bernard Bacot, Eugene Bacot, Harold Bacot and Danny Bacot.
