Larry A. Yates

Larry A. Yates, 83, of Lexington passed away on February 28, 2025.

A private family service will be held at Bush River Memorial Gardens.

Larry was born in Chicago, Illinois on July 29, 1941, to Richard and Cory Yates.  He attended the University of South Carolina and was a lifelong Gamecock supporter. Alongside his brother, he was a Mechanical Contractor for many years then began a career in real estate. Most importantly he was a devoted husband and loving grandfather.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by wife, Sondra Yates; a son, Dean Yates and a daughter, Lynette Wilson. Those left to cherish his memory include his brother, Lyndell Yates and wife Nancy, daughter, Paula Flake and husband Burnie and several grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Larry’s honor to the American Cancer Association.
