Larry B. Temples

West Columbia—Celebration of Life Service for Larry B. Temples, 75, of West Columbia, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 15, 2019, at West Side Baptist Church, 2100 Platt Springs Road, West Columbia, SC 29169, The Reverend Ray Wrobel will officiate. The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Larry was born on October 23, 1943, and passed away on June 9, 2019.He was born in Columbia, SC and was the son of the late Bunyan Bennett Temples and Katheryn Jean Gordner Temples.He was a member of Westside Baptist Church and a member of the Seeker Sunday School Class.He retired from Martin Marietta “Cayce Rock Quarry” after 34 years of devoted service. Surviving in addition to his loving wife of 27 years, Shirley McSwain Temples; daughter, Amanda Temples Chandler of Columbia, TN; sister, Sandra Temples Wilhelm (Jim) of Cary, NC; brother, Wayne Clay Temples (Brenda) of Columbia, SC; granddaughters, Jennifer Lee Chandler and Heather Nicole Chandler; one great-granddaughter, Lisa Marie Chandler. Preceded in death by his first wife, Freida Hearn Temples. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to West Side Baptist Church, 2100 Platt Springs Road, West Columbia, SC 29169.
