Larry D. Hansche

ELGIN—Larry D. Hansche, 82, of Elgin passed away Thursday, March 23, 2017 in his residence. He was born on February 18, 1935 in Racine, Wisconsin, to the late Melvin and Evelyn (Wilfong) Hansche.He was married to Violet (Smith) Hansche on August 22, 1965.Larry was a graduate of Olivet Nazarene University.He worked for several banks during his business career as an Assistant Vice President.He was a lifetime member of the Church of the Nazarene and his business experience was valuable as he served on different church boards.He also served as treasurer of The Christian Business Men’s Association for a few years in Redding, CA. Surviving along with his wife, Violet of Elgin, are his daughter, Theresa Spradlin (Paul) of Huntsville, AL and his son, Johnathan Hansche (Adria) of Blythewood, SC; 5 grandchildren, Victoria Spradlin, Brian Spradlin and Tristan Hansche, Damiah Hansche and Taelyn Hansche; sister, Linda Despriet (John).Larry was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Melvin Lee Hansche. There will be a Celebration of his Life on Friday, April 7, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Columbia First Church of the Nazarene, 901 St. Andrews Road, Columbia, SC 29210, Pastor Kyle Himmelwright will officiate.
