COLUMBIA—A Mass of Christian Burial for Randy Hodge, 73, of Columbia will be held on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Hills Catholic Church, 120 Marydale Road, Columbia, SC 29210. The Reverend Peter Sousa, CSsR. Entombment will follow in Bush River Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at Temples Halloran Funeral Home, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212. Randy, beloved husband for 47 years to Joselyn A. Hodge passed away on Monday, December 14, 2015. Born in Sumter County, SC, he was the son of the late Hermann Randolph Hodge and Kinnie Chandler Hodge.He was a member of Our Lady of Hills Catholic Church and served with honor in the United States Army. Randy lived life to the fullest. He was a State Farm agent for 40 years. He had many interest and activities over the years that he loved. He coached little league sports, enjoyed snow skiing, his motor home, his Harley Davidson and also boating on Lake Murray and the coast with the Lake Murray Power Squadron. Randy was a State Constable and enjoyed volunteering his time at several different police departments. Randy loved the Gamecocks and rarely ever missed a football, basketball or baseball game. He was a Gamecock Ambassador for the University. Randy loved his wife, sons, daughter-in-law and grandchildren. He loved to tell jokes, laugh, drink bourbon and have a good time. Surviving in addition to his wife, Joselyn A. Hodge of Columbia; sons, Joseph Randolph Hodge of Columbia and Gary Randolph Hodge (Allison) of Charleston; three grandchildren, Alarie, Lilly and Harrison Hodge; brother, Allen Yearwood of Clarksville, GA.He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jerrold Hodge. Memorials may be made to Amedisys Hospice of South Carolina, 220 Stoneridge Drive, Ste. 105, Columbia, SC 29210.
