COLUMBIA—Kenneth E. Fineberg, 65, peacefully passed away September 3, 2016. Born in Bridgeport, CT to David J. and Geraldine C. (Meyer) Fineberg, Ken spent most of his life in the Columbia, SC area. A veteran of the U S Air Force, Ken worked for Philips Medical Systems in the electronic and medical imaging industry for over 30 years. He met wonderful people in the business, many who became good and close friends over the years. In addition to his career, Ken was an inveterate collector of gadgets, a regular flea market shopper and a tool junkie. His jokes kept his friends and family laughing, and his appreciation of puns kept them groaning. Ken was a generous man, always willing to help others. He had a steadfast love for his wife of 37 years, Joanne Ziemba Fineberg, his girls, darling daughter, Julie Jennifer Fineberg and his favorite granddaughter, Emma Laurel Edwards, his brother and sister-in-law, Doug and Nancy Fineberg of Annapolis, MD and an unending list of extended family and friends. There will be a celebration of Ken's life with family and friends at a later date.
