COLUMBIA—The funeral services for Kenneth Lee Estes, 65, of Columbia, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 10, 2015 at Temples Halloran Funeral Home Chapel, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212, officiated by Pastor Michael Galdamez and Reverend Dennis Newell. Interment will follow in Bush River Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 9, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Born in Berlin, New Hampshire, he was the son of the late Lee Bradley Estes and Marie Emelda Dugas Estes. Ken grew up playing in theWhite Mountains of New Hampshire, then moved to Glastonbury, CT. In 1984, God, most high, (Elelyon) saved Ken. Following that he and his family worshiped at the Church of the Living God in Manchester, Conn.Then in 1989, he and his bride relocated to Columbia, where he attended Columbia Bible College. During the past years, Ken and his wife worshipped at Hillcrest Baptist Church of Gaston, Three Rivers Baptist Church of Irmo, Woodland Hills Church on Ashland Road, and lately found his church home at Columbia Evangelical Church on Barnwell Street. Some of the many things Ken enjoyed were the outdoors, swimming, studying God’s word, Black and White Photography as well as writing and singing music in the church. He will be remembered for his many glories and amens. Surviving are his bride of 31 years, Debra Stephens Estes; daughters, Jody (Chad), Kerry (Rhett), and Stacey (Tom); grandchildren, Haley (Sean), Alex, Preston, Madelynn, and Rhett, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Brianna and Julianna; niece, Heather (Ray); and nephew, Nathan (Audra) as well as several other beloved nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to, The Mission Fund at the Columbia Evangelical Church, 1013 Barnwell Street, Columbia,SC 29201.
