Karl Floyd Stanley

March 15, 1958 — March 1, 2021

Irmo — The world lost a great one. The man, the myth, the legend, Karl Stanley left us on March 1, 2021. He is survived by his wife, Debbie Stanley, and daughter, Jordan Stanley. He has 4 surviving brothers, Ken Stanley (twin brother), Greg Stanley, Gary Stanley, and David Stanley. Karl was the ultimate salesman. He spent 28 years working for Madden & Associates selling vehicle-related equipment in the public safety sector. Not a day went by that he wasn’t working or making a sale to someone! He never met a stranger and always made you feel like a friend, which made him great at what he did! Karl wasn’t much for relaxing. He was always on the go! On his downtime, however, he enjoyed spending time with his friends, family, and cats. (we totally made him a cat dad!) Karl was a die-hard North Carolina Tar Heel fan, “Go Tar Heels!” He also loved to drive around listening to his favorite oldie's music, que Johnny Cash’s, Ring of Fire! Karl suffered from heart disease and diabetes and we ask that donations be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association in lieu of flowers. Finally, a memorial service drop-in to celebrate Karl's life will be held on Saturday, March 20, 2021, from 2 pm - 5 pm at Schooners Bar & Grill, 6226 Bush River Rd, Columbia, SC 29212. He was loved and appreciate by so many people; we hope to share our favorite Karl memories with everyone!
