IRMO—A celebration of the life of Karen Vansant Edwards will take place on November 7th,at 11 a.m.at Temples-Halloran Funeral Home Chapel, 5400 Bush River Rd, Columbia, SC 29212. The Reverend Dr. Mark Bredholt will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. Karen was born October 3, 1956, in Spartanburg, SC and passed away peacefully with her husband by her side on November 3, 2017 in Columbia, SC. She was the daughter of Martha S. Vansant and the late Carl J. Vansant. She is survived by her husband, Paul T. Edwards; daughter, Jessica T. Edwards; mother, Martha S. Vansant; sister, Marsha V. Wells; one nephew, one niece, two great-nephews, one great-niece, and many cousins. Karen was a long-time employee of the Willoughby and Hoefer Law firm of Columbia, SC, and developed many friends and associates along the way.She was active with The Dance Dept. of Irmo, where her daughter studied for many years.
