COLUMBIA—A Mass of Requiem for June K. Albers, 81, of Columbia will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, February 5, 2016 at Our Lady of the Hills Catholic Church, 120 Marydale Lane, Columbia, SC 29210, with burial to follow in Bush River Memorial Gardens, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren. The Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, February 4, 2016 followed by visitation until 8:00 p.m. at Temples Halloran Funeral Home, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to St. Jude Children Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Mrs. Albers, beloved wife of Joseph A. Albers, Sr. passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2016. Born in Summerville, SC she was the daughter of the late Daniel Hood Knight and Tealey Purvis Knight.She was a charter member of Our Lady of the Hills Catholic Church Parish. She retired from the Internal Revenue Service as a Bankruptcy Specialist.And was a member of the Knights of Columbus Axillary. Survived by husband of 61 years, Joseph A. Albers; children, Joseph A. Albers, Jr. (Anna) of Blythewood, Paula A. Munn (Darrell) of Camden and Gregory Thomas Albers of Columbia; grandchildren, Gabrielle Hayes Munn, Justin Blake Munn (Saskia), Gregory Thomas Albers, Jr. and Morgan Elizabeth Albers; great-grandchild, Kaidan Blake Munn; sister, Imogene K. Purvis of Florence.
