COLUMBIA—Joyce Sharpe Finney, 88, of Columbia, passed away on Friday May 4, 2018.Mrs. Finney was born in Winnsboro, S.C. on November 25, 1929.Joyce worked for J.B. White’s in the retail industry, commonly known as White’s Department Store, for more than 30 years.Joyce was a member of the retirees club of J.B. White’s as well.She attended Victory Bible Baptist Church in Columbia for many years. Those who preceded Mrs. Finney in death include her husband of 39 years, Tom Finney; parents, B.C. and Lillie Sharpe; brother, Rufus Sharpe.Mrs. Finney is survived by sisters, Dorothy Mann and Beverly (Don) Krouse; brothers, Ed Sharpe, Wayne (Della) Sharpe, and sister-in-law, Beatrice “Sonny” Sharpe.Joyce had multiple nieces and nephews and was known as Grandma to many. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, May9, 2018 at Temples Halloran Funeral Home, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, S.C. 29212.Pastor John Seydlitz will officiate the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Temples Halloran Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in Bush River Memorial Gardens.
