Jon Eric Freeman

Jon Eric Freeman, age 62, died on April 17, 2025, at the Heritage at Lowman. He was the son of Ann Freeman and the late Jerre Freeman of Columbia, S.C.

Jon suffered lifelong injuries in a car accident in 1979. Through his hard work and determination, he graduated from Irmo High School, class of 1984. He was cared for at home until 2022 when he moved to the skilled nursing unit at the Heritage at Lowman.

He is survived by his sister, Jan Box (Bill) and nieces Meredith Burgess (Justin) and Callie Stirts (Kasin).

Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at St. Andrews Baptist Church, 230 Bush River Road, Columbia, South Carolina 29210. The Reverend Doctor Ronald "Dee" Vaughan and The Reverend Doctor Jace Broadhurst will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the hour of service.
