CHAPIN—A service to celebrate the life of Johnson Willie Leviner, Sr., 95, of Chapin, SC, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at Temples Halloran Funeral Home, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212. Reverend Alice Odell and Reverend Jerry Broughton will officiate. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens, 2601 Two Notch Road, Columbia, SC 29204. Mr. Leviner, beloved husband of Lillie Mae Leviner, died Thursday, February 11, 2016.He was born November 15, 1920 in Laurinburg, NC to the late Arch M. Leviner and Minnie Prevatt Leviner. He proudly served 22 years in the United States Army and was a World War II and Korean veteran.He also retired from the John Harland Company. He was a member of Seven Oaks Presbyterian Church, also a member of Woodmen of the World and Masonic Lodge Acacia #94. He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Lillie Mae Leviner; his children, J. W. “Jay” Leviner, Jr. (Linda) of Chapin, Claude“Mike”Leviner (Irene) of Chapin, Betty Anderson (John) of Irmo, Barbara Smith Broughton (Rev. Jerry) of Columbia; his grandchildren, Greg Leviner (Lori), Michele Leviner, Susan Herring (Craig), Julie Koon (James), Michael Smith (Jennifer), Troy Smith (Ramsi); his great-grandchildren, Logan Leviner, Whitley Leviner, Olivia Herring, Evan Herring, Allen Herring, Kendall Koon, Jacob Koon, Mason Smith, and Hannah Smith. He was predeceased by three brothers, one sister and son-in-law, Ted Smith. Memorials may be made to Seven Oaks Presbyterian Church, 530 St. Andrews Road, Columbia, SC 29210.
