CHAPIN—Funeral services for John “Jack” W. Erickson, Jr., 87, of Chapin, will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, July 1, 2018, at Christus Victor Lutheran Church, 400 Harbison Blvd., Columbia, SC 29212. The Reverend Dermon Sox and Reverend Jim Nichols will officiate. Entombment will follow in Bush River Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.The family will greet friends from 1:30 p.m.- 2:30 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Temples Halloran Funeral Home is assisting the family. Jack, the beloved husband of Priscilla “Pat” J. Erickson, passed away on Wednesday, June 27, 2018.Born in Greensburg, PA to the late John W. Erickson, Sr. and Gladys A. Findley Erickson.He was a member of Christus Victor Lutheran Church.Resident of Columbia since 1989, formerly of Willoughby, Ohio.He retired from TRW Corp., Valve Division after 36 years of service. A graduate of Greensburg High School class of 1949 and Thiel College in Greenville, PA class of 1953 earning a BS in Education and Math. Surviving in addition to his wife for 61 years, Priscilla “Pat” Erickson; sons, Alan H. Erickson (Becky), Frederick J. Erickson (Carolyn) and Kenneth W. Erickson (Sandra); sister, Gwen L. Irwin; and 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and asister, Nancy J. Leone.
