Jason Bennett, 38, died peacefully Monday, April 18 at his home in New Bern, NC.Born August 15, 1977 in San Antonio, Texas, he was the son of Kim O. Bennett and Marsha K. Price. Jason was an Air Force brat and resided in various states, but he called Irmo, South Carolina his home.He graduated from Irmo High School along with many of his closest and dearest friends.Jason loved the outdoors and was happiest when fishing, boating, and getting trucks stuck in the mud with his buddies.He was always up for going to the beach, a backyard bar-b-q, and hanging out with his friends for games and conversation.Jason was a dog lover and cared for many dogs during his lifetime.Midnight was probably his longest and dearest companion. Jason was a very loving and caring young man who brought much joy to his family and friends.He loved to work in the yard and tend to his plants.Decorating for Christmas with several hundred lights both inside and outside was one of Jason’s favorite undertakings. Surviving in addition to his parents is his sister, Natalie M. Pageler, MD, Tom Pageler brother-in-law and three nephews, Jacob, Logan, and Oliver Pageler.He leaves behind family in Tucson, AZ who will miss him greatly. A memorial gathering will be held Sunday, April 24, 2016, 2:00 p.m. at the Temples Halloran Funeral Home Chapel, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC, 29212
