Jane Embleton Homewood

LEXINGTON, SC—Jane Embleton Homewood, 97, of Lexington, SC died at the Presbyterian Home on Saturday, March 14, 2015, born in Charleston, West Virginia on December 27, 1917.Jane was the daughter of the late Tenneyson LeMoyne Embleton and Mattie Burford Embleton.Jane was the oldest child in her family and married William Sutfin Homewood on her 24th birthday, December 27, 1941.After raising her family in Parkersburg, West Virginia, Jane and her husband retired to Bradenton, Florida where she lived for many years. Surviving are her sons, William Thomas Homewood II and wife, Lexie of Cheshire, Mass and Michael Dean Homewood and wife, Lueen of Columbia, SC; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.Those who preceded her include, husband William S. Homewood, husband, of 62 years; sisters, Marjorie Embleton Crichton and Patricia EmbletonPearcy. Service will be private.
