A Service of Remembrance for Jane Warren Busby, 89, or Irmo, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 23rd, 2022 at Riverland Hills Baptist Church, 201 Lake Murray Blvd, Irmo, South Carolina, 29063. Rev. Bill Haselden will be officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in Bush River Memorial Gardens. Jane went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, February 19, 2022.She was born July 30, 1932, in Rich Square, N.C.She was the first of 5 siblings to Ellis and Mabel Warren.Jane grew up in Rocky Mount, NC and attended WCUNC in Greensboro, NC, and graduated from Wilson School of Nursing, Wilson, NC, as a registered nurse. She was happily married to Walter O. Busby “Buzz”, from Irmo, for 46 years until his home going, July 2, 2008.Jane was a registered nurse and retired after 42 years of faithful service as an operating room nurse.She enjoyed music, gardening, cooking, and working with her friends.She spent many years in the service of her Lord, teaching children, soloists, and choir members, as well as being a dedicated mission worker.Jane attended many churches due to her husband’s military obligation as a career member of the United States Air Force. She was a longtime member of the Riverland Hills Baptist Church and Friendship Sunday School Class. Jane was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Jane is survived by her son, Eric Busby of Irmo; granddaughter, Emma Busby of Charlotte, NC; one sister, Anne Richards (Rich) of Kokomo, IN; a brother, John Warren (Vivian) of Rocky Mount, NC; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brothers and their wives, Pat Warren (Diana), and Henry Warren (Katherine).
