James Talman Moore, Jr. 75, of Columbia, died Monday, February 26, 2018. Born on August 13, 1942 in Columbia, SC, he was the son of the late James T. Moore, Sr. and Mildred Hutchison Moore. He was a graduate of the Richland School District One System,finishing at Dreher High School.He later attended the University of Virginia. Jim began his career in Virginia in the banking industry and later returned to South Carolina where he worked with Amick Farms for many years, retiring at Chief Financial Officer. He was a member of Seven Oaks Presbyterian Church for 30 years and a longtime member of the Lanterns Men’s Friday Morning Bible Study. Jim was an avid Clemson Fan who had attended football games and closely followed the football team for many years. He was a member of the Jaycees of West Columbia as well as a longtime member of The Summit Club. He will be dearly missed by all his family members. He was known by his family as the “Man of 50 Questions”.Jim was a man of strong convictions. Surviving are his wife Donna Huey Moore of 31 years; sons, James T. Moore, III (Kim) of Greenville, Michael David Moore (JoAnn) of Waxhaw, NC and Charles Jason Moore (Heather) of Columbia; sister, Terry Cullins (Richard) of Fort Meyers, FL; grandchildren, Kaylee Boger, Michael David Moore, Jr. William Stephen Moore, Luke Gabriel Moore and Peyton Russell Moore along with family dog, Bella. The memorial service will be held Thursday, March 1, 2018 at 12 noon at Seven Oaks Presbyterian Church, 530 St. Andrews Road, Columbia, SC 29210 with The Reverend Jana Creighton officiating.
