WEST COLUMBIA—James Paul Jackson, 73, of West Columbia, died Sunday, May 3, 2015.Born in West Columbia, SC, he was the son of the late Harvey Lee Jackson and Lucille Ellisor Jackson.Mr. Jackson was the longtime owner and operator of his own produce business located at US #1 Metro Flea Market in West Columbia. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. at Temples Halloran Funeral Home, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212. In lieu of flowers the Jackson family wishes memorial contributions to be made to “The James Paul Jackson Fund”, at the First Citizens Bank, 7039 Parkland Road, Columbia, SC 29223. Surviving are his sisters, Vera Threatt of Columbia, Martha Harmon and Diane Watkins both of Gaston; brothers, Lee Jackson (Kathy) of West Columbia, Phillip Jackson of Gaston and little brother, Thomas A. Jackson (Betty) of West Columbia; special niece, Patsy Culick and great-niece, Tiffany Hutson, along other nephews and nieces and those who loved him dearly. The family would like to thank the Blue Ridge Hospice and their workers, Kay James, Kimberly and other staff member that cared for Mr. Jackson.
