James Steven Huggins

James Steven Huggins, age 49, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 25, 2017. Steve was born in Florence, SC to Bill and Nancy Huggins, and he lived with his wife, Debbie, and his daughters, Isabella and Sophia, in Irmo, SC. Steve was the founder of Huggins Law Firm, PA in Columbia, SC, and he was a respected member of the legal community. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of South Carolina in 1995 and his Juris Doctorate from the University of South Carolina, School of Law in 1997. Steve also served in the United States Army, 5th Battalion, 3D Field Artillery Regiment, where he earned numerous awards. Steve enjoyed every day and spent most of his free time with his family. He loved cheering for his daughters as they played soccer, and they spent many hours as a family fishing, boating, hunting, and watching USC football. As long as Steve was with his girls, he was happy. He also enjoyed playing the drums. He was a devoted and loving father, husband, and son. In addition to his parents, Steve is survived by his beloved wife of 15 years, his daughters, and many extended family members and close friends. He was deeply loved and will be truly missed by all. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, December 30, 2017 at Temples-Halloran Funeral Home. Visitation will be between the hours of 11:00am and 1:00pm, and the service will be held at 1:00pm. Entombment will follow in Bush River Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with military honors.
