James Richard Copeland

IRMO—James “Jim” Richard Copeland of Irmo, SC died June 8, 2015 atLexington Hospital, West Columbia, SCafter a long Illness.Jim was born on April 1, 1958 in Jackson, Michigan to Richard Gale and Carol Jean (Brown) Copeland. He married Judith Ann (Keilman) on June 21, 1980 in Hammond, IN. He had a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from Purdue University Calumet.He worked at CTG, Bethlehem Steel, and 25 years at Colonial Life Insurance. He is survived by his parents, wife Judy, three sons: Jeremy James (Palmer Gaddy) Copeland, Jeffrey David (Amanda Pearce) Copeland, Philip Anthony (Renata Andrade) Copeland, three grand-children: Hunter David, Zoie Anne, Jenna Anne Copeland, and sisters: Susan (Rodney) Young, Kathy (Greg) Hoos, and Lynne Copeland. A viewing will be held Saturday, June 13, 2015 from 10-11 a.m., at the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Relief Society Room, 7449 Broad River Road, Columbia, SC, and the service will follow at 11 a.m. in the church. Temples Halloran Funeral Home, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212 is assisting the family.
