Helen M. Campbell

IRMO—The graveside service for Helen M. Campbell, 87, of Irmo will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 23, 2019, in Bush River Memorial Gardens, 5400 Bush River Road Columbia, S.C. 29212, with the Reverend Tim Hawkins officiating.A reception will be held following the service at Mrs. Campbell’s home. Helen was born in Columbia on December 6, 1931, and passed away on January 18, 2019, at Prisma Health Parkridge.She was the daughter of the late Sampson Wheeler Morse and Hinda E. Stone.Helen was a proud graduate of Olympia High School and was employed by Southern Bell Telephone Company, retiring after 30 years of dedicated service.She was a member of Riverland Hills Baptist Church where she enjoyed the camaraderie of friends at Anna’s Tea. During her life, Helen traveled the world with her husband, enjoying time in England, Alaska, and Australia.She was a devoted sister to her siblings throughout their lives, and to her mother.Helen was also a proud grandmother to Alex and Maggie whom she loved dearly. Survivors include her only son, Danny Campbell (Renee) of Leonardtown, MD; and one granddaughter, Maggie Campbell.Those who preceded her in death include her late parents, her late husband, Ronald Campbell, and one grandson, Alex Campbell, along with three brothers and four sisters.
