COLUMBIA— A private graveside service for the family of Harvey Richardson, 90, of Columbia, will be held on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at Bush River Memorial Gardens, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212. Born on September 16, 1927 in Plum Township, Allegheny County, PA to the late John C. Richardson and Eva Hall Richardson. He was a graduate of Plum High School and attended Penn State University, his professional career included sales and plant management for plastic injection molding industry. He proudly served his country during World War II in the Army Air Corp. Mr. Richardson was an avid golfer and enjoyed helping others with their play and respect of the game. He was also devoted Pittsburgh Steeler fan, rarely missing an opportunity to watch or listen to every game. Surviving are his daughter, Jan Richardson Woodside (Michael) of Columbia; son, Kurt W. Richardson (Roxane) of Lexington; grandchildren, Megan Oxentine (Jason), Matthew A. Richardson and Hannah E. Richardson; great-grandchildren, Tatum Atwood, Jason and Carter Oxentine. Those who preceded him in death, include his late wife of 54 years, Betty Joan, and 2 sons, Todd Harvey Richardson and Trace Allen Richardson.
