Harold F. Spivey

The graveside inurnment for Harold Franklin Spivey, 80 of Columbia, will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. in Bush River Memorial Gardens, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212. Reception will follow the inurnment in Temples Halloran Funeral Home with light refreshments, please RSVP Harold Spivey at 319-610-8463. Harold was born on September 20, 1938, in Hemingway, SCand passed away at his residence on Thursday, August 1, 2019, surrounded by his loving family.He was the son of the late Harold Franklin Spivey and Evelyn Virginia Helms. He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force.Harold had worked as a machinist in the Naval Shipyard in Charleston and later was the owner/operator of his own construction company.He was a faithful member of the Cedar Creek Cowboy Church of Leesville, SC. Survivors are his sons, Harold F. Spivey III (Kendra) of Dewar, Iowa and Reverend Bobby Spivey (Shelah) of Leesville, SC; son-in-law, Buddy Holland of Lexington, SC; sister, Linda Owens of Summerville, SC; grandchildren, Brandon, Nicholas, Jordan, Joseph, Amanda and Abby along with 2 great-grandchildren.Those who preceded him in death, besides his late parents, were his wife, Jalinda K. Spivey; sister, Dorothy S. Miller;and a daughter, Samantha Holland.
