Harold L. Jeffcoat, Sr., 80, of Columbia, passed away on Saturday, August 21, 2021.Mr. Jeffcoat was born to his late parents, Robert Thomas Jeffcoat and Eunice Dorothy Williams Jeffcoat in Neeses, S.C., on May 15, 1941.Harold was a mechanical supervisor for Norfolk Southern Railway for 31 years.He was a member of the Central Church of the Nazarene in West Columbia and loved to hunt and fish.Harold was a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather.He will be greatly missed. Mr. Jeffcoat was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Mrs. Barbara Jean Jeffcoat.He is survived by his daughter, Beverly L. Walls (Gary); son, Harold L. Jeffcoat, Jr. (Paula); sister, Kathy Smith; and brother, Larry Jeffcoat (Cynthia); as well as five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. A funeral service for Mr. Harold L. Jeffcoat, Sr. will held be at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 25, 2021, at Temples Halloran Funeral Home, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, S.C. 29212.Reverend Dr. Jim Thrower will officiate.The family will receive friends prior to the funeral service from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to Central Church of the Nazarene 100 S Woodside Pkwy, West Columbia, S.C. 29170.
