Grace Annette Rabon

Grace Annette Rabon, 57, passed away on Monday, July 24, 2017 after a brief battle with cancer.Annette grew up in Cayce, SC, and graduated from Brookland-Cayce High School.She was employed with Publix Supermarket.She was a long-time member of Christian Life Church on Bush River Road.She loved her family, church family, friends and support group friends very much.She never met a stranger and treated everyone she met with kindness, compassion and acceptance.She will be missed deeply by everyone who knew her.Our family wants to say "thank you" for the love, support and kind words received since hearing about her abrupt passing. Pre-deceased is her son, Jacob Rabon of Irmo, SC; her father, John Kinley Sturkie of Swansea, SC, and her brother Johnny Sturkie of Swansea. Surviving are her two sons, Aaron and Isaac Rabon of Irmo;Aaron's, long-time devoted girlfriend, Alix Drye of Irmo;mother, Mary M. Sturkie of Swansea; sister, Ellen Williams and her devoted partner, Mike McLaurin of Swansea; brother, Matt Sturkie and his wife, LaJuana of Irmo; niece, Michelle Sturkie and wife, Brenda of Swansea; nephew, Johnny M. Sturkie “Jody” and his wife, Hillary, and their son, Tread, of Miami, Florida; nephews, Zachary and Chandler Sturkie of Irmo; nieces, Tonya Wise of Blythewood, SC and Marlana Williams and her partner, Scott Meetze, and their daughter, Kinleigh Meetze of Lexington, SC. Memorial services will be held at Christian Life Church, 2700 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC, 29210 at 1 p.m., Thursday, July 27, 2017 with visitation with the family immediately following the service.In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made in honor of her two sons, Aaron and Isaac Rabon to Christian Life Church, 2700 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29210.
