Frank William Jones was born on September 4, 1924 in Tampico, Mexico to Robert and Josefina Lopez Jones.Frank served in the Citizens Conservation Core as a youth. During WWII, Corporal Jones served as a Combat Engineer with the 81st Combat Engineers, 106th Infantry during the Battle of the Bulge. After being discharged at Fort Jackson, Mr. Jones wandered into downtown Columbia where he met some fellows on their lunch break.After determining where they worked, he figured he would try to join them.Forty years later he retired from The R.L. Bryan Company. Frank was predeceased by his parents and two brothers, Carlos and Roberto Jones.He is survived by his Nephew, Samuel Jones (Carol), and a multitude of friends who were blessed by his quick wit and big heart. A graveside inurnment for Frank William Jones will be held on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at the Fort Jackson National Cemetery at 2:00 p.m.
