GASTON—Funeral services for Frances Davis Starr, 79, of Gaston, will be held at 12 noon Thursday, December 29, 2016 at Temples Halloran Funeral Home, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212.Reverend Terry C. Wilder will officiate. Burial will follow in Bush River Memorial Gardens.The family will greet friends from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Mrs. Starr, beloved wife of William R. “Bill” Starr, passed away on Monday, December 26, 2016.Born in Great Falls, SC she was the daughter of the late Carroll Edmond Davis and Daisy Neely Davis.Frances was a member of Swansea First Baptist Church.She worked at Southern Bell, South Carolina State Government and Walmart. Surviving in addition to her husband of 18 years, Bill Starr of Gaston; step-daughters, Sara Starr and Katy Starr both of Greenville, SC; brother, Wayne Davis (Judy) of Winnsboro, SC; granddaughter, Olivia Grace Lyons and numerous nieces and nephews.Frances was preceded in death by her daughter, Debra Taylor. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Swansea First Baptist Church, 145 S Church Street, Swansea, SC 29160.
