On-line condolences may be sent to www.templeshalloranfuneralhome.com IRMO….The funeral service for Frances Underwood Ramsdell, 92, will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Temples-Halloran Funeral Home, located at 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212.Reverend Mark Bredholt will officiate.The family will receive friends from 11:30 until the hour of service.The interment will follow at Bush River Memorial Gardens. Frances was born in Blue Ridge, GA., on November 7, 1925 and passed away on July 24, 2018.She was the daughter of the late William Underwood and Berniece Sprayberry Underwood.Frances, aka Fran, aka MeeMaw ran her own in house daycare center prior to retiring from the S.C. Department of Mental Health with over 20 years of service. She was also retired from Tripp’s Dry Cleaners with over 20 years of service.Fran was a member of Riverland Hills Baptist Church. She was an exceptional mother and everyone always knew her daughters were the center of her world. Fran’s home was always open as she became a second mom to many including nieces and friends of her daughters. She was always there for whoever needed her, no matter what. Surviving are daughters; Cydni Ramsdell (Kenny Shelton) and Lora Peppers (Robert), brothers; Dan Underwood and Brannon Underwood (Kathleen), sisters; Carmi Wood (Kenneth) and Anne Fleeman, sister in law Jean Underwood, one grandchild Layla Grace Peppers and many beloved nieces and nephews.Those who preceded her in death besides her parents, was former husband Gordon Ramsdell, aka Grandy, brother William Underwood, sisters Bernice Harper and Beth Brown, sister-in-law Billie Jean Underwood, brother in laws Cecil Harper, Kenneth Brown, and Ken Fleeman and sister-in-law and best friend Linda Underwood.
