COLUMBIA—The memorial service for Berline “Frances” Julian, 92, of Columbia, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 8, 2017 in the Chapel of the Presbyterian Home, 700 DaVega Drive, Lexington, SC 29073.Officiating will be The Reverends Fran W. and Michael T. Bragan.The family will receive friends following the memorial service.A private interment was held at Bush River Memorial Gardens. Born in Autryville, NC on March 12, 1925, she was the daughter of the late John Henry Cashwell and Margaret Beatrice Davis Cashwell.Frances was a “Rosie the Riveter” at the Norfolk Naval Yard, where she met her late husband, William James Julian.She was a homemaker raising 6 children until she entered the workforce in 1969, where she became the credit Manager at Woolco, she later retired after years of devoted service.Frances was active in the garden club and church ladies groups. She loved to golf, travel, quilt, and play cards.Frances loved all animals especially dogs and cats.She was a longtime member of Providence Presbyterian Church for well over 20 plus years. Surviving are her daughters, Margaret Julian and Joanne Masters (Bucky), Mary McClenny, Rebecca Julian and Paulette Martin-Aguilera (Paco); son, William James Julian, Jr. (Brenda); sister, Hilda Lamper; brother, Robert Cashwell (Ruby); 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; as well as a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, William James Julian.
