Eula Fay McLemore, 80, of Irmo, SC, entered into eternal rest on 10 November; 2024. One of five children, she was born January 28, 1944, in Sicily Island, Louisiana, to the late Emile Taylor and Gay Lucas Taylor. Fay was a devoted military wife, mother, and grandmother who dedicated her life to supporting and caring for all, oftentimes sacrificing her own wants and needs in doing so. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas McLemore and three brothers; Clyde, Fred, and George Taylor. Left to cherish her memory is her remaining sibling, Herman Taylor of Denham Springs, Louisiana, and her four daughters; Pamela Palmgren of Lexington, Barbara Wilson of Newberry, Mary Stone of Charleston, and Karen Hamrick of Lexington, her granddaughters; Christina Martin, Melissa Martin, Leslie Palmgren, Rebecca McNaughton, Ashley Hamrick, Krista Smithart, Isabelle Hamrick, grandsons; Christopher Stone, Carl Martin, Matthew Roark, Samuel Stone, and 15 great grandchildren. A private family burial will be held at the Fort Jackson National Cemetery on 15 November, 2024. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Fay McLemore’s honor may be made to Special Forces Charitable Trust: In Care of Mike Mika, 1874 Charleston Hwy., Cayce SC 29033.
