IRMO—Eugenia “Gene” Beacham Taylor Danque, 85, of Irmo died Monday, August 15, 2016 at Palmetto Health Richland.Born in Greenville, SC, Eugenia was the daughter of the late P.M. Taylor, Jr. and Emily Beacham Taylor.She was also the granddaughter of the late William C. Beacham and the late Ethel West Beacham. Gene graduated from Greenville High School where she was a “Red Raider” and later attended Business College.Eugenia was a member of Conway United Methodist Church in Orlando, FL.She was also active at Seven Oaks Park where she volunteered for “Meals on Wheels” for 15 years and was also a member of the Senior Fitness Class.Gene enjoyed reading, traveling, camping, being outdoors and making new friends. Gene and her late husband, Dan, were very active in Cub and Boy Scouts as leaders, adult training while organizing new packs or troops. Survived by four sons, Marc (Debbie) of Chapin, David (Cindy) of Columbia, Scott (Debbie) of Walterboro and Lawrence (Kerishall) of Northfield, VT; seven grandchildren, Amy (Allen) of Chapin, Michael (Heyam) of Orlando, FL, Matthew (Clarissa) of New Port, NE, Amanda of Titusville, FL, Brian of Greensboro, NC, Joshua and Jordan of Davenport, FL; six great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service for Mrs. Gene will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Temples Halloran Funeral Home, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212.The Reverend Mark Bredholt will officiate.The family will receive friends following the service.
