COLUMBIA—Etrulia C. “Trudy” Stallings, 91, widow of 55 years to the late John Garvie Stallings, formerly of Ware Shoals, Died Friday, January 20, 2017 at Carolina Gardens of Kathwood in Columbia. Born in Laurens County, she was the daughter of the late J. Truman and Mary J. Simpson Copeland.She was a lifelong member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church of Ware Shoals and operated her own beauty shop in Ware Shoals for 40 years prior to her retirement. Surviving are a son, Michael T. Stallings (Marilyn H. ) of Columbia, her granddaughter, Michelle Brianna Stallings of Montpelier, VT, and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be conducted at Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, 6000 Poplar Springs Road, Ware Shoals, Laurens County, SC 29692 at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, January 28, 2017, with the Reverend Michael Driggers officiating. The family will greet friends following the service at the graveside.
