Ernest Paul Rouse

A Mass of Christian Burial for Ernest Paul “Ernie” Rouse, 56, will be held on Monday, June 6, 2022, at 1:30 p.m. at Our Lady of the Hills Catholic Church. The Rosary will be recited at 1:00 p.m. The inurnment will follow the Mass in the church columbarium. Ernie was born on September 25, 1965, in Pontiac, Michigan, and departed this earthly life on January 2, 2022. He is the son of Mary Ellen Rouse and the late Ernest Carl Rouse. Because of his health issues, Ernie spent a number of years at the Babcock Center as well as the Saleeby Center. Survivors include his mother, Mary Ellen Rouse; sisters, Mary Brissette, Cynthia Main (Art), Kathleen Hunter (Earl), and Amy Rouse (Gray); brother, David Rouse (Courtney); 19 nieces and nephews along with 11 great-nieces and great-nephews. Memorials may be made to Our Lady of the Hills Catholic Church, 210 Marydale Lane, Columbia, SC 29210. The Rouse Family would like to sincerely thank the staff and management of the Babcock Center, the Saleeby Center, and Millennium Post-Acute Rehab of West Columbia for the care given to Ernie.
