Eloise C. Saxon

The funeral service for Mrs. Eloise Crosby Saxon (93) of West Columbia, SC, will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 18, 2023, in the Chapel of Temples-Halloran Funeral Home, 5400 Bush River Rd, Columbia, SC, 29212. The Reverend Dan Williams and Pastor Mat Saxon will officiate. The Saxon family will receive friends from 11-12 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Woodridge Memorial Park, 138 Corley Mill Rd, Lexington, SC, 29072. Eloise was born in Screven, GA, on December 7, 1929, and departed this earthly life on Saturday, March 11, 2023. She was the daughter of the late Samuel Crosby and Effie Mae Todd Crosby. Mrs. Saxon was a longtime member of Lexington Baptist Church. Eloise did an exceptional job raising six children while her husband served in the military, often serving in foreign locations. She served faithfully in the Lexington Baptist Church Prayer Ministry until she was physically unable to do so. Survivors include sons: Don Saxon (Patsy) of Cary, NC, Dan Saxon of Columbia, SC, Ed Saxon (Melaine) of Beaufort, SC, Gary Saxon (Eve) of Macon, GA, and Jeff Saxon (Julie) of Columbia, SC; daughter: Debra Saxon Grimsley (Bobby) of West Columbia; sisters: Jeanette Dixon and Voncille Dixon (Jake); 10 grandsons, 3 granddaughters, 3 great grandsons, and 9 great granddaughters. Those who preceded Mrs. Eloise in death include her parents, a great grandson, three brothers, two sisters, and her late husband, D. A. Saxon. The family would like to thank The Pines of West Columbia, SC and SC House Calls for their exceptional and loving care of mom while she was a resident this past year.
