Ellen M. Hale

A Funeral Service for Ellen M. Hale, 81, of Columbia will be held on Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Temples Halloran Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in Bush River Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m. -11:00 a.m. prior to the service in the funeral home. Reverend Jon Wesley Culp and Reverend Beth Faulk will officiate. Ellen was born in West Liberty, Kentucky on September 27, 1940, and passed away on June 19, 2022. She was the daughter of the late William Harlan McLain and Anna Hermal Patrick McLain. Ellen retired from Sears as a Service Department Coordinator after more than 30 years of service. She loved playing cards with her girlfriends every Thursday. Her passion was gardening and Ellen loved being outdoors in the spring and summer months. Her grandchildren were the love of her life. Surviving are her sons, Devery Hale (Tina) and Scott A. Hale (Doris); sister, Dean Kingston; grandchildren, Kelly, Haylie, Ashton, and Lindsey. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Clyde Hale. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Heart Association, 190 Knox Abbott Drive, Ste. 301, Cayce, SC 29033.
