Edna M. Joyner Evans

Edna M. Joyner Evans, 84, of Columbia, beloved wife of Ralph A. Evans, Sr., passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2017.She was the daughter of Otha and Shelley Langley Joyner.Mrs. Evans retired from Allied Chemical after 20 years of devoted service.Of all things in her life, her family was most important.She was married over 64 years and was the proud mother of four children: Cynthia M. Evans, R.J. Evans, Jr., Tammy F. Jordan (Michael) and Susie E. Wilson (Russell).She had four grandchildren: Kevin C. Miller (Melanie), Todd S. Miller, Corey J. Wilson and Tyler R. Wilson and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents and brother, Johnny Joyner. The family would like to thank Arlene and Melissa of Hospice Services of Tri-County, the facility and staff of the Brian Center Nursing Care and Harbor Chase Memory Care Unit for their care and support during this difficult time. Service for Edna M. Joyner Evans will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wedneday, October 25, 2017 at Temples Halloran Funeral Home Chapel with The Reverend Jeri-Katherine Sipes officiating. Burial will follow in Bush River Memorial Gardens.The family will greet friends from 1-2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
