COLUMBIA— Funeral services for Edith Mae Kilpatrick, 86, of Columbia will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 25, 2017at Temples Halloran Funeral Home Chapel, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212 with Ross Young officiating. Entombment will follow in Bush River Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.Visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Edith the beloved wife of the late Wayne Lee Kilpatrick, passed away at Lexington Medical Center, surrounded by her family, on Tuesday, February 21, 2017.She was born December 15, 1930 in Candler, NC to the late George Dewey Young and Jennie Mae Curtis. She was a member of White Rock Baptist Church, she also helped her husband run Eagles Corner in Chapin.Mother had a green thumb growing flowers and vegetables and loved sharing her bounty with all of her family and friends.Edith loved playing cards especially Canasta, fishing and spending time with her family. Surviving are her children, Michael Kilpatrick, Sr., Pamela Waynette Kilpatrick, Rebecca L. Stallings (Dwight), Tami K. Kirby (Tim), and Kenneth Kilpatrick (Cindy); brother, James Young (Rosemary); grandchildren, Michael Kilpatrick, II (Kathryn), Johnathan Kilpatrick (Jenny), Kathy Muse, Kelly Yoder and Lauren Lovett; great-grandchildren, Chase, McKenzie, Cameron, Connor, Nolan, and Kason; great-great-grandchild, Zayden; many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Kilpatrick was predeceased by her parents, husband of 62 years, Wayne; a daughter, Kathryn Kilpatrick; sister, Joan Parnell; brothers, Curtis Young and George Young; son-in-law, Kenneth Lovett; grand-son-in-law, Jessie Yoder.
